I am planning on competing in a sprint triathlon in September, what is the best way to train?

I am in decent shape, but I want to get in really good shape. The triathlon is September 28 and it is 1/4mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Does anyone know a good training program or a really good way to prepare myself for this?

two or three workouts per week in each discipline should get you into decent enough shape to complete a sprint tri.
If you want to get into really great shape, find a coach/trainer to help you refine your goals, first of all in general, and specifically toward your goals in the race.
I think that I am doing the same tri as you! I’m looking for a good beginner training routine as well. If anyone knows how I can find one, please help. Excuse the ignorance on the subject, but I’m a rookie when it comes to this and I want to do it right.
