How hard would it be to complete this triathlon?
smokeyjoejr1 asked:
I was wondering how hard it would be to complete this triathlon. It’s part of the Chicago Triathlon held at the end of August.
It’s a .25 mile swim, 6.2 mile bike, and 1.55 mile run.
I’m 15, and I’m currently on the track team at school. I primarily run the 1600m (mile) and 800m events. We do about 30 miles per week at practice all together. I used to swim competitively when I was younger, and never had any trouble biking.
Obviously I would do triathlon specific training, I just wanted to know how difficult it would be. I’d greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone who has already ran a triathlon.

sounds like a good start, they are obviously not easy, but this one seems small enough to complete with training for someone your age and great start. nice you have the ambition
